Noah Van Sciver is an underground cartoonist currently living in Denver, CO.

His work appears regularly in various magazines, newspapers and zines in and out of Colorado. Noah was born the 8th child out of 9 in New Jersey in 1984. He taught himself to draw cartoons because he hated sports and wanted to draw dinosaurs instead. He started his own comic company, NVS Comics, at the age of seven. The company never sold a single comic book, and its offices were in a bedroom for a short time before moving to a tin shed in Arizona around 1996. NVS Comics’ biggest titles were The Chickens and Green Ninja.

Noah is a prolific and persistent cartoonist and usually works on several different projects at once. In 2008, he finally started up his own solo comic book title, Blammo, which has been called “the best comic book that nobody has heard of.” It has gotten rave reviews such as, “ The comic strips in Blammo are hip and cynical. Which is all we ask for!”

You can currently read Noah’s comic strip, “4 Questions,” comic strip interviews with bands, which runs weekly in Denver’s Westword.
